UPDATE JUNE 2025:
Due to some landslides on the main road from Medellin to Jardín the buses will take another route. There are 2 buscompany (Transporte Suroeste & Rapido Ochoa) with 6 buses each. Best is to check at the busterminal what the options are! Rapido Ochoa buses can also be found online on Redbus or Busbud. The current route will take 4 to 5 hours. The bus will drop you off right at the bus station in Jardin, which is just one block away from the charming main plaza, or sometimes even in the plaza itself. Please contact us to get an update about the current situation!
COMING FROM SALENTO/PEREIRA
If you're coming from the Salento/Pereira area, the trip is a bit more adventurous, taking around 9 hours. There's one direct bus each day that goes from Salento to RioSucio at 9:40am (Lately they have been switching a lot between 8:40 and 9:40 so please double check at the terminal in Salento) from the Salento bus terminal. We recommend booking this bus at least one day in advance. After the 4-hour ride to RioSucio you can catch the 3 pm bus or colorful chiva (an open-air bus) that will get you to Jardin in about 3.5 hours. It's a long trip, but the amazing mountain views along the way make it so worthwhile. Just be sure to bring an extra sweater or jacket, as it can get quite chilly on the ride!
UPDATE JUNE 2025:
Due to some landslides the road from Medellin to Jardín is closed at one part and partly accessible at another part. If you take the correct road it won't been that difficult or long. The best is to split up your navigation in different steps. 1 Navigate to Santa Fe de Antioquia (Check google maps link button) 2. Navigate to the location of the landslide which you can cross (Check google maps link button) 3. Navigate to Glamping Jardín! This route is accessible for every car and will bring you to Jardín in 4/5 hrs. Please don't use Waze since they are sending you trough the mountains! Are you coming from Armenia/Salento/Filandia area? Then be careful that with a car you’ll have to take the route through la Pintada. Best is to navigate to the landslide first and after crossing the landslide to Glamping Jardín. Adventurous motorcyclist or people with a 4x4 can go to RioSucio too but be prepared for a unpaved route from RioSucio to Jardín.
FROM TOWN TO GLAMPING
To get to Glamping Jardín you can drive in 10 minutes from the main square. (or just take the right turn 5 minutes before you arrive at the town.) From Jardín's main square you'll go down the main road to Andes. After Pizano's bridge you'll drive a bit further and take the first road on the right to Morro Amarillo. Follow this road for approx. 2,5 km until you find the gate to Glamping Jardín on the right side. Once you enter the glamping area, the parking will be on the left just a few meters in. It's best to park your car here and then continue on foot down the road to the reception, which is located in the main house. If you're traveling by public transportation and need a ride from town, you'll find plenty of tuk-tuks (or "motoratones" as the locals call them) at the plaza. They can bring you to Glamping Jardín in just 15 minutes (price will be $ 22.000 during the day and $ 27.000 at night). If they don't know Glamping Jardín you can tell them to go to "la cancha de Morro Amarillo" Or if you prefer, you can book our transportation service in advance.
