PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Jardin is very accessible by public transportation. From Medellin, you can reach Jardin in just 3,5 / 4 hours by bus. Simply head to the Terminal de Transporte Sur and purchase your ticket at one of the kiosks there. There are 2 companies, Rapido Ochoa and Transporte Suroeste. For extra convenience, you can also buy your bus ticket in advance through Redbus or Busbud. The bus will drop you off right at the bus station in Jardin, which is just one block away from the charming main plaza, or sometimes even in the plaza itself. If you're coming from the Salento/Pereira area, the trip is a bit more adventurous, taking around 9 hours. There's one direct bus each day that goes from Salento to RioSucio at 9:40am (Lately they have been switching a lot between 8:40 and 9:40 so please double check at the terminal in Salento) from the Salento bus terminal. We recommend booking this bus at least one day in advance. After the 4-hour ride to RioSucio, you may be able to hop right onto a mini-van that will take you the rest of the way to Jardin. If you've missed that van, not to worry! You can catch the 3 pm colorful chiva (an open-air bus) that will get you to Jardin in about 3.5 hours. It's a long trip, but the amazing mountain views along the way make it so worthwhile. Just be sure to bring an extra sweater or jacket, as it can get quite chilly on the ride!

You can easily get to Jardín by car or motor. The road are usually OK and the views are beautiful. From Medellin you can follow your navigation and take the route to Caldas - Amarga - Bolombolo. It will take about 3,5 to 4 hours to get there depending on traffic. Are you coming from Armenia/Salento/Filandia area? Then be careful that with a car you’ll have to take the route through la Pintada. Adventurous motorcyclist can go to RioSucio too but be prepared for a unpaved route from RioSucio to Jardín.
